Bethesda is located in Montgomery County, just north of Washington D.C. Boyds is a very economically stable city, with unemployment rates well below the national average and recent job growth rates well above the national average. Boyds has become one of the more affluent cities in the area with the average home price here running a bit higher than the overall average for the D.C. Metro area. Founded in 1752 and named for trader John Clarke, Clarksburg was established at the intersection of the main road that ran between Georgetown and Frederick. Since the new millennium, Clarksburg has seen substantial growth and has several large communities that are still under construction, including condos, townhomes, and single family homes, in addition to new retail space.


Clarksburg is home to many amenities and attractions, from parks and other outdoor activities, to retail and dining, the city offers convenient access to everything it’s residents want and need. Residents of Clarksburg are served by Montgomery County Public Schools, which are consistently ranked among the best in the country. Like many areas in the county, Clarksburg is one of the more educated communities in America with a majority of it’s adult residents earning a college degree. Due to major growth in the area Clarksburg is home to many new schools, having been built to accommodate it’s growing population.


Recent population growth in Clarksburg has led to a healthy local economy and an influx of employment opportunities in the area. As a result, there has been a substantial amount of housing growth in the recent years. Clarksburg Village, Montgomery County’s best-selling planned community, has more than a quarter of it’s 775 acres dedicated to open spaces and amenities for it’s residents. Founded in the early 1800s, Germantown initially began as a central business area between two major crossroads.
